Our journey begins with Director Nicole Freeman, whose career in sustainability and resource management is rooted in her early education. Nicole studied Equine Business & Science at Bishop Burton College, where she gained her first exposure to the agricultural sector and its deep connections to food production, land use, and waste. This sparked a long-term interest in how industries can manage resources more effectively while reducing environmental impact.

Over the years, Nicole built a diverse commercial background across multiple sectors, developing strength in business development, account management, and operational planning. Her work expanded into waste management and renewable energy, where she developed specialist knowledge in food waste recycling, anaerobic digestion, and feedstock supply chains.

Drawing on this expertise, Nicole founded Haystack Leads Ltd. to support organisations in making informed, environmentally responsible waste decisions. Her approach is based on transparency, partnership, and delivering long-term value, both commercially and environmentally.
